The work of the Farmer Producer Organisation has started in Khowai district at the initiative of BAPCL with the support of NABARD.
This project, a special initiative of BAPCL, has been started on 3 hectares of land to produce good fish fry for fish farmers.
Two professors from the Indian Institute of Management – Lucknow (IIM–Lucknow) are on a three-day visit to conduct research on the workings of BAPCL.
A meeting was held at the Kakraban FPO office in the presence of Honourable MLA Shri Jitendra Majumdar on the occasion of providing encouragement, training and cooperation to farmer friends in orchid and flower cultivation. The chairman of the state-established Pharma Club, FPO, was present in the meeting.
With the support of NABARD Assam, at the initiative of Professor Trideep Bhattacharya of the College of Agriculture, 22 members of the Farmers Producers Organisation from Sunitpur district, Kokrajhar district, and Jorhat district of Assam came to BAPCL and exchanged views.
